Terms of Use

Agreement

These terms apply to the Flippique desktop application (“Flippique”, “the app”), made by Nebula Digital (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Flippique, you agree to them. If you're using it for a business, you agree on that business's behalf.

Free plan

You can download and use Flippique without paying, for as long as you like. On the free plan:

• you can save 3 flipbooks per calendar month, and the allowance resets on the 1st;
• each flipbook can have up to 24 pages;
• each page carries a small Flippique watermark; and
• each flipbook shows “Powered by Flippique” while it loads.

Everything else works the same, so you can see exactly what you're getting before you buy. Books you make on the free plan are yours to keep and share, watermark included.

Your license

When you subscribe to Solo or Pro, you get a license key. It gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Flippique for as long as your subscription is active, on the number of computers your plan allows: one on Solo, up to three on Pro. A business may let its own staff use its license, within the same computer limit.

Each plan sets how many flipbooks you can save per calendar month and how many pages each one can have: Solo 20 books a month of up to 100 pages; Pro unlimited books and pages. Monthly allowances reset on the 1st. The app counts the books you save on that computer.

• Activating the license on a computer uses one of your activations. You can free one by choosing Deactivate on this computer in the app (About → License), for example when you replace a computer.
• The app checks the license through our license service now and then. It keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last successful check.
• While your subscription is active, you get the updates we release.

We keep ownership of Flippique itself. The license lets you use the app; it doesn't sell it to you.

What's not allowed

Please don't:

• share, publish, sell or give away your license key, or use one key beyond its activation limit;
• remove, disable or get around the license check, the plan limits or the free-plan watermark;
• copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms;
• rent, lease or redistribute the app, or offer it as part of a hosted service; or
• use Flippique to make flipbooks containing material you don't have the right to use.

Your content

You own the images, PDFs and other material you put into Flippique, and the flipbooks you make with it. We claim no rights over them, and because the app works entirely on your computer, we never receive them.

You can share, sell or publish your flipbooks however you like, including for commercial work and client projects. You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to what you include.

Payment, subscriptions and refunds

Who sells it

Flippique subscriptions and lifetime licences are sold by Creem, which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. Creem processes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipts and invoices. Creem's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Prices and renewal

• Solo: €49 a year or €6 a month. Pro: €99 a year or €12 a month. Lifetime: €199 once. Prices are in euros and exclude tax: VAT or sales tax is calculated from your country and added at checkout, so the total you pay may be higher than the price shown here. Creem shows the full total, including the tax, before you confirm.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each year or month, and your payment method is charged the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. A lifetime licence is charged once and never renews.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you by email before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.

Refunds

If Flippique isn't right for you, email hello@nebula-digital.com within 14 days of a payment and we'll refund that payment. You can also reply to your Creem receipt. When a refund is issued, the license key is deactivated. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law where you live.

What “lifetime” means

A lifetime licence is a single payment for Flippique on up to three computers, including every update we release for it, with nothing further to pay. Specifically:

• It does not expire and is not tied to a period. Once activated, the app stops checking it: it keeps working with no internet connection, and it keeps working if this website, this licence service or this company stops existing.
• It covers Flippique — the desktop app and the flipbooks it makes — including features added later. If we ever build something that is genuinely a separate product, or a service with running costs of its own such as hosting your books for you, that may be sold separately. We will not take a feature you already have and charge you for it again.
• “Lifetime” means the life of the product, not a promise to develop it forever. If we stop work on Flippique, your licence and your installed copy keep working; what ends is new development.
• It is for one person or one business, and cannot be resold or transferred. Refunds work as they do for a subscription: within 14 days of payment, and the key is deactivated when the refund is issued.

Updates

We may release updates that fix problems or add features. Some features may change over time. We'll try not to remove anything important you rely on without good reason.

Cancelling and ending

You can cancel any time in the Creem customer portal (sign in with the email you used to buy), which you can also reach from About → License in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals.

When your subscription ends, is refunded or charged back, the license stops working and Flippique goes back to the free plan on your computers. We may also deactivate a license used against these terms, after telling you why where possible. Flipbooks you've already saved are files on your computer, so they aren't affected and remain yours to keep.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make Flippique reliable, and the free plan lets you check it does what you need before you buy. Beyond that, the app is provided “as is”. We don't promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. Please keep your own copies of your original files.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Flippique in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

Third-party software

Flippique includes open-source software, used under its own licenses. These include StPageFlip (the page-turn engine, MIT License), PDF.js (PDF reading, Apache License 2.0) and Tauri (the application framework, MIT or Apache License 2.0). The full list, with every license text, is in the app under About → Open-source licenses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
