Terms of Use
In short
- You can try Flippique for free. Trial books are limited to 12 pages and carry a small Flippique mark.
- A license lets you use the full app on the number of computers stated when you buy.
- The flipbooks you make are yours. Share, sell or publish them however you like.
- Please don't share license keys or try to get around the license check.
Agreement
These terms apply to the Flippique desktop application (“Flippique”, “the app”), made by Nebula Digital (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Flippique, you agree to them. If you're using it for a business, you agree on that business's behalf.
Free trial
You can download and use Flippique without paying. Without a license:
- flipbooks can have up to 12 pages;
- each page carries a small Flippique watermark; and
- each flipbook shows “Powered by Flippique” while it loads.
Everything else works the same, so you can see exactly what you're getting before you buy. Books you make with the trial are yours to keep and share, watermark included.
Your license
When you buy a license, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Flippique on up to the number of computers stated at purchase, for as long as the license stays valid.
- Activating the license on a computer uses one of your activations. You can free one by choosing Deactivate on this computer in the app (About → License), for example when you replace a computer.
- The app checks the license with our payment provider now and then. It keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last successful check.
- The license covers the version you buy and the updates we release for it.
We keep ownership of Flippique itself. The license lets you use the app; it doesn't sell it to you.
What's not allowed
Please don't:
- share, publish, sell or give away your license key, or use one key beyond its activation limit;
- remove, disable or get around the license check, the trial limits or the trial watermark;
- copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms;
- rent, lease or redistribute the app, or offer it as part of a hosted service; or
- use Flippique to make flipbooks containing material you don't have the right to use.
Your content
You own the images, PDFs and other material you put into Flippique, and the flipbooks you make with it. We claim no rights over them, and because the app works entirely on your computer, we never receive them.
You can share, sell or publish your flipbooks however you like, including for commercial work and client projects. You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to what you include.
Purchases and refunds
Licenses are sold by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and handles payment, tax and invoices. Its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
If Flippique isn't right for you, email support@flippique.com within [14] days of your purchase for a refund. When a refund is issued, the license key is deactivated. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Updates
We may release updates that fix problems or add features. Some features may change over time. We'll try not to remove anything important you rely on without good reason.
Ending a license
You can stop using Flippique at any time. We may deactivate a license that was refunded, charged back, or used against these terms, after telling you why where possible. Flipbooks you've already made are yours to keep either way.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to make Flippique reliable, and the free trial lets you check it does what you need before you buy. Beyond that, the app is provided “as is”. We don't promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. Please keep your own copies of your original files.
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away your rights as a consumer.
Third-party software
Flippique includes open-source software, used under its own licenses. These include StPageFlip (the page-turn engine, MIT License), PDF.js (PDF reading, Apache License 2.0) and Tauri (the application framework, MIT or Apache License 2.0). The full list, with every license text, is in the app under About → Open-source licenses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [country]. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
