A flipbook maker that runs natively on your Mac. Turn a PDF or a folder of images into a page-turning book saved as one HTML file that opens in any browser, offline. Universal build: Apple silicon and Intel. Also on Windows.

Version 0.2.0 · macOS 11 and later · Apple silicon and Intel (universal, 10.3 MB)

What you need

  • macOS 11 Big Sur or later.
  • Apple silicon or Intel. One universal download covers both — there is no separate M-series build to pick.
  • 10.3 MB. It is a small app, not a creative suite.
  • An internet connection once, if you buy a licence, to register the key. After that it works with no connection at all.

Three steps

  1. Import. Drag in a PDF, a folder of images, or individual PNGs and JPGs.
  2. Arrange. Drag pages into order, choose a cover, delete the rest.
  3. Create. Preview the real page turns, then save one .html file.

That file opens on Windows, Linux, Android and iOS too. The book is not tied to the computer that made it.

What it does not do

Worth knowing before you download, because no comparison table will tell you:

  • The text in your book is not searchable. Every page is rendered as an image, so a reader cannot select text or use Ctrl+F inside the flipbook. If searchable text matters more than page turns, a plain PDF is the better format and we would rather say so.
  • It is not a design editor. Flippique adds the page turn; it does not lay pages out. Design in InDesign, Canva, Word or anything else, export a PDF, and bring that in.
  • Links in your PDF carry over on paid plans only. On a paid plan, a clickable link in the PDF stays clickable in the flipbook. On the free plan those links are flattened.
