Drag a PDF into Flippique and get back a page-turning flipbook saved as one HTML file. It runs on your own computer — Windows 10 or 11, or macOS 11 and later — so the PDF is never uploaded anywhere and you do not make an account.

Version 0.2.0 · Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit (3.5 MB) · macOS 11 and later, Apple silicon and Intel (10.3 MB)

Three steps

  1. Import. Drag your PDF in. Every page of the PDF becomes a page of the book. Images and whole folders of images work too.
  2. Arrange. Drag pages into order, choose any page as the cover, delete what you do not need. Page numbers keep up as you go.
  3. Create. Try the real page turns in the preview, then save. You get one .html file. Double-click it and it opens in any browser.

A real one, made from a real PDF

This is not a mockup. It is a flipbook built in Flippique and exported as a single file, which is exactly what you get:

Browser tool or desktop app?

Plenty of free websites will turn a PDF into a flipbook. They are genuinely quick. The difference is what happens to your file and where the book lives afterwards:

If you only need one book on a link and never want to think about it again, a browser tool is the faster answer. Flippique is for when you want the file itself.

Coming from Canva, InDesign or Word

There is no Canva or InDesign import, and that is on purpose: exporting a PDF first keeps your layout exactly as you designed it. In Canva, Share → Download → PDF Standard, then drag that PDF into Flippique. Same with Word, PowerPoint and InDesign — export a PDF, bring the PDF in.

What it does not do

Worth knowing before you download, because no comparison table will tell you:

  • The text in your book is not searchable. Every page is rendered as an image, so a reader cannot select text or use Ctrl+F inside the flipbook. If searchable text matters more than page turns, a plain PDF is the better format and we would rather say so.
  • It is not a design editor. Flippique adds the page turn; it does not lay pages out. Design in InDesign, Canva, Word or anything else, export a PDF, and bring that in.
  • Links in your PDF carry over on paid plans only. On a paid plan, a clickable link in the PDF stays clickable in the flipbook. On the free plan those links are flattened.
