Privacy Policy
In short
- Your pages and flipbooks stay on your computer. Flippique doesn't upload them anywhere.
- The app has no analytics, tracking or advertising, and neither do the books it makes.
- The only information the app sends is your license key, to check it's valid.
- Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which also processes your billing details.
Who we are
Flippique is made by Nebula Digital (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@flippique.com. Our registered address is [Nebula Digital registered address].
Your files
Flippique is a desktop application. When you import images or a PDF, arrange pages and create a flipbook, all of that happens on your own computer. We never receive, see or store your pages, your PDFs or the flipbooks you make.
Flippique only reads the files you choose to import, and only writes a flipbook where you choose to save it.
Your flipbooks
A flipbook made with Flippique is a single file containing your pages. It doesn't load anything from the internet and contains no analytics, tracking or cookies, so neither we nor anyone else learns who opens it.
Books made with the free trial, and books where you leave the option switched on, show a small “Powered by Flippique” credit. It's text and an image inside the file; it doesn't contact us.
If you share a flipbook, you decide who receives it and where it's published. How any website, email service or messaging app you use handles it is covered by that service's own privacy policy.
License checks
When you activate a license, Flippique checks your key with our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. The app sends:
- Your license key.
- A label for this computer: its name and operating system (for example “Studio-PC (Windows)”). This lets you see and manage the computers your key is active on.
Lemon Squeezy replies with the name, email address and product linked to the key. Flippique saves these on your computer so it can show who the copy is licensed to. They aren't sent anywhere else.
About once a week, while you're online, Flippique checks again that the key is still valid. It sends the key and the ID of this activation. When you choose “Deactivate on this computer”, it sends the same two things so the activation can be released.
To protect the saved license from being copied, it's sealed using an identifier of your computer. That identifier stays on your computer and is never sent.
Apart from these checks, the app doesn't connect to the internet. Links such as “Buy Flippique” open in your own web browser.
Purchases
Flippique is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller (merchant of record). When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your name, email address, billing address and payment details, and sends you your receipt and license key. We don't receive your full payment card details.
We can see the order information Lemon Squeezy shares with sellers, such as your name, email address, country and what you bought. We use it to provide your license, handle refunds and answer support requests.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for a short time to keep the site running and secure.
Support emails
If you email us, we use your message and email address to reply and help you. We keep support conversations only as long as they're useful for helping you, or as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including in the EU and UK, you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to how we use it. To make a request, email support@flippique.com.
For information Lemon Squeezy holds as the seller, you can also contact Lemon Squeezy directly.
You can complain to your local data protection authority if you're unhappy with how we've handled your information.
We use your information because we need it to provide the license you bought and to support you, and because we're legally required to keep certain sales records.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we handle your information, we'll point it out on this website.
