Heyzine is a good hosted flipbook tool, and unlike most of its rivals it will genuinely hand you an HTML file to host yourself. The difference is not whether you can get a file — it is the account, the upload, and the renewal date attached to getting one.

What Heyzine does better

  • Reader statistics and lead forms from the Professional plan (€96 a year). Flippique has neither, and will not.
  • Video, audio and web embeds inside the book. Flippique does page turns, not multimedia.
  • A hosted link and QR codes generated for you, with a custom subdomain on Professional.
  • Five page-turn effects and deeper viewer customisation.

If any of those are the reason you are looking, Heyzine is the better purchase and this page has done its job by telling you so.

The part worth doing the arithmetic on

Heyzine Standard is €58 a year, for as long as you want to keep making books. Flippique Lifetime is €199 once. If you are still publishing in four years, the one-time licence has paid for itself; if this is a single project, Heyzine’s free plan may cost you nothing at all. Neither answer is wrong — they are different shapes of the same purchase.

Where Flippique is the weaker tool

Said plainly, because finding out after you have paid is how people end up asking for refunds:

  • No analytics, no lead forms, no custom domain. A file on someone's computer cannot report back, which is the point — but if you need to know who read what, a hosted tool genuinely serves you better.
  • The text is not searchable. Pages render as images, so nobody can select text or search inside the book.
  • Links from your PDF carry over on paid plans only. The free plan flattens them.
  • No hosted link. You get a file. Putting it online is your job — your own site, a USB stick, an email attachment.
